This group is for homeschooling families in the following and surrounding areas: Alvin, Angleton, Clear Lake, Friendswood, Manvel, Pearland. It is to help us connect with one another so that we can enjoy getting together just to visit or to share learning experiences and activities. And we would like to offer support for each other as we educate our children at home. This list is not restricted to Christians, but does have a Christian foundation.
Located in Amarillo, Texas, PCHEA (Panhandle Christian Home Educators Association) is a home school support group whose purpose is to encourage people in the process of teaching their children at home.
Every family has a different story to tell and different reasons for home schooling, but we all have one thing in common: a tremendous willingness to invest in our children's future. In our local support group, we have over 100 families with a variety of interests, family sizes, occupations, and other demographics attributes. We invite you to get to know us; we're certain you'll find someone who shares your goals and pursuits. AHE is not a formal organization and has no officers; we're simply a collection of like-minded families loosely joined together by our mutual interests.

We are a group of Christian families who have collectively home educated for a total of 40 years. While meeting as a church co-op group for two years, we have seen the need in our home educating community, as well as within our families, for more in-depth classes.

We offer competitive sports for home-schooled kids of all ages, from elementary all the way through high school. Our elementary program consists of several sports, including, but not limited to, basketball, volleyball, soccer, swimming, track & field, etc. Our varsity programs include basketball and volleyball for girls, and basketball and football for boys.

Austin Home Educators is to serve the Home Educators of Austin in discussions of homeschool styles, philosophy, books, curriculum, events, and laws in a Christian atmosphere. Although discussions will sometimes stray from the direct purpose of homeschooling, it usually does not stray from our children's interests.
